How would our country have reacted to that Senator? Now let's come back to modern times. Hillary has just spent the Thanksgiving holiday doing that exact thing. We have been at war with terrorist elements for two years following the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center, more people died there than at Pearl Harbor. She has come back to the USA and has been made the darling of the left mainstream media. Condemning the way the war has been fought, the Presidents actions, and the decissions of theater Generals. This from a women whose husband spent eight years, pandering to the terrorists and trying to make friends with them, while they attacked us at every opportunity.

There is reason to suspect that Pearl Harbor was known about, but allowed to happen so that we might be incited to declare war and get us in it. There is further reason to believe that the German death camps were covered up as long as possible because they were afraid that the US would not support going to war for the Jews. What I do think is different is that back then it was considered un-patriotic to speak against your country or leadership once the war was entered in to; witness that congress and the nation allowed FDR extra terms to finish the job he started. I often wonder, tho, how many lives it cost the world in the long run when we sold our souls to Joe Stalin in exchance for that second front???? All that misery the USSR fomented in the world! We should have gathered up what was left of the German army and marched to Moscow and done mankind a big favor. Oh, well. God Bless Bush and may he continue to do the right thing for us AND the world. | | ........All Enemies, Foreign and Domestic. | Handloads.Com Forum Politics Now and Then |
