This load was derived by playing around with the 86 and 93 grain bullet data to find something that worked for the Hornady 90gr Hollow-points. The velocity I have recorded here is from my Benelli B-80 and not a Luger, however the load does work accepably well in a friend’s 1970’s production Mauser Luger most of the time, but the hollow-points seem to have a bit more trouble feeding there than in my Benelli. I picked #7 powder because it is a bit slower burning for the longer barrels of the Lugers typically chambered in .30 cal.
